Before Your Treatment

• Feeling unsure on how to get started? Come in for a consultation! This allows us time to discuss your goals, answer all your questions, and give you a full breakdown of expectations.

• Plan ahead! No matter the treatment, best results are never immediate. Make sure you plan your appointment in advance of any events so we can have you looking your best when they come around. 

• Hydrate and Have a snack. Nothing is worse than arriving to your appointment and feeling woozy in the chair. Any treatment we do in clinic will always settle better when your body is taken care of.

• Get your workout in before you come in. Most treatments we perform will require 24 hours of downtime. If you don't want an off day, do your workout in before you show up! 

• To best prevent bruising, try to stay away from alcohol and other blood thinning medications (unless medically neccessary). These include Advil, Aspirin, and some supplements like fish oils, garlic, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, and ginseng.

• Arrive with clean skin. This is important both because it prevents infection, but also because makeup can be decieving! Coming makeup-free allows me to fully assess your face to give you my best advice. 

After Your Treatment

While we will go over personalized aftercare at your appointment, here are some common things to expect after your treatment

• Swelling and bruising is normal. The risk and severity varies by treatment, but it's important to prepare for these with any treatment! This resolves for most patients within 3-5 days.

• Avoid activity that will make you sweat for 24 hours. This includes strenuous activity and high temperatures such as saunas, hot tubs, and sunbathing. 

• Try not to touch the treated area. It's important to allow our treatment to settle exactly the way we injected, so ensure you don't rub the area, wear tight-fitted hats, or recieve other treatments such as facials or massages after treatment. 

• If something doesn't feel right, contact me. You're my eyes at home! If you have excessive pain, swelling, or discoloration of your skin, contact myself of the clinic right away.
